Aarhus University moves upward on the NTU ranking
Aarhus University's ranking is moving in the right direction and is now number 10 in the world in the subject ”Agricultural Sciences”.
Aarhus University has since 2011 moved upwards on the international National Taiwan University (NTU) Ranking, from number 16 in 2011 to number 10 in 2016 and 2017 within the subject ”Agricultural Sciences”. Productivity, quality and visibility all play a part and AU has progressed with regard to all parameters. Our researchers have written more articles, and the articles have been cited more frequenty and to a greater degree been published in high-impact journals.

”Agricultural Sciences” is the subject in which Aarhus University has its best ranking. This is followed by ”Environment/Ecology", where AU is number 15 in the world. Overall Aarhus University is number 88 on the world ranking in 2017. This is an advancement of eight positions from number 96 in 2011.
The NTU ranking evaluates the universities' achievements on the basis of scientific articles using three criteria: research productivity (25% of the overall score), research impact (35%) and research quality (40%). These criteria are measured on the basis of how many scientific articles are published, how many of these are published in high-impact journals, and how many times the articles are cited.
