AGRO Communication

📝 How to contact AGRO Communication

AGRO Communication supports researchers and staff in communicating their work, whether as part of a research project or when sharing new research results. We can assist with communication planning, research dissemination, news articles, press relations, social media, website content, and the promotion of events and activities. Whether you need ongoing communication support for a project or want to bring attention to an important research finding, we can help you reach the right audiences through the most relevant channels.

To ensure better overview, faster processing, and shared prioritisation of tasks, the Communications Department has established a shared mailbox: comm@agro.au.dk

Below you will find examples to help you determine what should be sent where.

When should I use the communication mailbox?

Use comm@agro.au.dk when your inquiry is not directed to a specific staff member, or when the task requires coordination across the department.

Send your request to the shared mailbox when it concerns:

  1. Communication or graphic design tasks

Examples:

“Can you write a news article about our new project?”
“Can you write an article about this publication?”
“We need a poster for an event.”
“Can you create an intranet post about this?”
“Can you help with a press release?”
“I need graphic assistance for a PowerPoint presentation or brochure.”
“Can you design a logo for our project?”

  1. Website and intranet tasks (applies to all requests regarding creation or changes in TYPO3)

Examples:

“This page needs to be updated with new text.”
“I’ve found a spelling mistake.”
“Can we create a new subpage?”
“Can you help set up a project website?”
“Can you update an image or contact information on the website?”
“We need something changed in TYPO3 – can you help?”
“Can you help publish the thesis catalogue online?”

  1. General communication questions

Examples:

“Where can I find AGRO’s logo?”
“Can you send high-resolution logos to our project partners?”
“Where can I find templates for PowerPoint or Word?”
“Do you have any images I can use?”
“Can we receive communication support for our project?”
“Do you have an AGRO presentation I can use?”

  1. Social media and events

Examples:

“Can you share this on LinkedIn?”
“Can you attend and cover this event?”
“Can you help take photos or video at our project meeting?”
“Can you assist with organising events?”
“Can you help promote our webinar, event, or conference?”

When should I contact one of the Communications Advisors directly?

You are of course still very welcome to email Camilla and Jonathan directly, preferably when your inquiry concerns tasks we are already working on together or when it relates to personal matters.

Write directly to one of us when it concerns:

  1. A task we are already in dialogue about

Examples:

“Here are the revisions you asked for.”
“I’ve now reviewed the article and made a few edits…”
“Can we have a quick chat about the article tomorrow?”
“Can we go through the project website together?”
“The corrections on the website look good.”

  1. Personal questions and collegial contact

Examples:

“Can we reschedule our meeting?”
“Do you have time to discuss this?”
“I’ve been contacted by a journalist – how should I respond?”

  1. Internal matters that specifically concern an individual communications advisor

Examples:

Personal agreements
Internal task allocation
Management or development tasks

In short

Shared mailbox = everything that requires joint prioritisation, coordination, graphic or communication-related support, or more general advice.

Personal emails = individual dialogue and tasks that are already ongoing.

Please inform the communications office if you are planning to participate – or have already participated – in any media-related activities at comm@agro.au.dk

Particular information on Project Communication

We are happy to assist with project communication. Camilla supports the external dissemination of research and project results, while Jonathan can assist with graphic and visual design.

However, due to resource considerations, it is important that you contact Secretariat Manager Ida Thoft Jensen when requesting assistance with project communication.

AGRO Design Guide

Logo

• As a general rule, please use the dark green AGRO logo as the primary logo.

Presentations

• Use the AGRO slide templates for external presentations and communication activities.

• The slide templates are aligned with Aarhus University's design principles and slide guidelines, while providing a visual identity tailored to AGRO.

Department Presentation Slides

• Use the AGRO Department Slides when presenting the department to external stakeholders, visitors, collaborators, students or funding bodies.

• The department slide deck is designed as a modular slide package. Select only the slides relevant to your audience and purpose rather than using the full presentation. Section-specific slides are available and may be included when relevant, but they should be considered optional.

Roll-ups

• AGRO roll-ups will be available at all AGRO locations from late June 2026.

• The roll-ups are divided into a research-focused roll-up and a broader appealing roll-up. That is labelled on the roll-ups.

If you have questions regarding the design materials or their use, please contact AGRO Communications.
