AU is switching to a new IT support system
The current system, known to many as Cherwell, is being replaced by a new system: TOPdesk.
The change will take effect on Monday 26 January.
This means that staff and students who need to report an IT issue or request access to a system will be met with a new and more intuitive user interface than the one used in Cherwell.
The new system will make it easier to create and track support cases via a new web portal, which can be accessed in the same way as today – via support.au.dk.
In return, staff can expect faster responses when their requests are entered correctly into the system.
To prepare for the launch, the new system has been tested by a number of users at AU, and IT supporters have received training in the new systems features.
Staff and students will be informed about the transition to the new system via news items on medarbejdere.au.dk and studerende.au.dk, as well as a banner on the IT Support website when the new system is online on Monday.
