Calibrate your impact-compass at Plantekongres 2026

On 7–8 January 2026, Plantekongres once again brings together researchers, advisors and industry to share the newest science, exchange perspectives and discuss the challenges shaping the future of plant production.

Staying on top of developments in plant production requires strong links between science and practice. Plantekongres is a key place to stay closely connected to what’s happening in the sector and a central forum where researchers have the opportunity to engage with practitioners.

For Loraine ten Damme, Postdoc at the Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University, this possibility to connect with practice is at the heart of what makes Plantekongres valuable. Looking back on her experience last year, she puts it this way:

“I like calibrating my impact-compass; seeing what occupies the minds of those in practice – farmers, advisors, contractors, companies – and what is not on their mind.”

Last year’s Plantekongres also gave her new inspiration and valuable connections:

“I gained research ideas and new contacts, and I was able to reconnect with people you rarely meet elsewhere but always meet at Plantekongres.”

And she highlights the atmosphere as something quite special:

“The event is very accessible, intellectually stimulating, and the participants create an engaging, warm and friendly atmosphere. Bonus: Plantekongres is organised without a need to run from session to session! And it’s so local, one could always just give it a try; if nothing gained then nothing lost.”

Even more relevant for international researchers in 2026

Plantekongres 2026 introduces a new English-language track, making the congress especially relevant for international colleagues.

In the program, all English-language sessions are clearly marked with a small British flag, making it easy to find the sessions offered in English (LINK: https://plantekongres.dk/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/plantekongres26_oversigt_A4.pdf).

Program highlights
