Info about event

Time

Monday 5 February 2018,  at 13:00 - 15:00

Learn how to attract attention to your scientific work with appealing press releases and appetising popular science articles.

We will have a look at:

  • why it is important to communicate your science in a popular way
  • finding a good angle
  • writing clearly, concisely and correctly
  • making your articles come alive by writing simply and fun while still retaining the serious note
  • understanding how the press works

The course will be held in two modules. Between the modules you will be expected to write a short popular science article using the tools and tips that are covered in the first module.

The course will be taught in English by AGRO’s communication consultant Janne Hansen, a native Canadian with degrees in agriculture and journalism.

Bring paper, pen and creativity – they will all be put to work during the course.
