Learn how to attract attention to your scientific work with appealing press releases and appetising popular science articles.
We will have a look at:
- why it is important to communicate your science in a popular way
- finding a good angle
- writing clearly, concisely and correctly
- making your articles come alive by writing simply and fun while still retaining the serious note
- understanding how the press works
The course will be held in two modules. Between the modules you will be expected to write a short popular science article using the tools and tips that are covered in the first module.
The course will be taught in English by AGRO’s communication consultant Janne Hansen, a native Canadian with degrees in agriculture and journalism.
Bring paper, pen and creativity – they will all be put to work during the course.
