Exercise day in Flakkebjerg for walkers and runners
Lots of fresh air and exercise in the company of colleagues were on the agenda an autumn afternoon after work in Flakkebjerg.
Friday, 9 October after work leg muscles were challenged in Flakkebjerg. 25 participants either walked or ran on routes that followed the research centre’s lanes on an exercise day that the staff club in Flakkebjerg had organised.
The staff club had printed three different routes of four, 5.5 and 6.5 km respectively, which the participants could choose between. Six people chose to run the four-kilometre route but got lost and ended up running seven kilometres.
The rest of the group chose to meander on the walking lanes and have a look at the various research plots. The route also passed by the memorial area Halkevad Mindelund, which lies close to the research centre and which many staff members commute past every day. On the exercise day there was time to stop and look at the memorial stones and read their inscriptions.
