Financial result 2019
This autumn it seemed that we could look at another year with a big deficit, but we have now come out of 2019 with a zero result.
The financial statements for 2019 ended with a small deficit of DKK 64,000. In connection with ØR3 in August, the deficit amounted to DKK 7.8 million. The improved result is due to, i.e., a reduced cost for consumption, an internal grant from DCA, more STÅ income (education), reimbursements in connection with illness and maternity, as well as additional income at the research stations.
However, the result does not change the fact that we have an accumulated deficit of just over DKK 12 million, which we still owe. In addition, our budget for the coming years still seems to be in deficit. That is why the Dean asked us to draw up a reduction plan.
Furthermore, we are facing generational changes challenges and expectations are high regarding deliverance on our policy support. Therefore there is still a need for the department management to focus on adjusting the department strategy, facilities and structure.
