Flagships with colour and shape
The interaction and dynamics of the research flagships and the department as a whole are illustrated in a new symbol.
The Department of Agroecology has a new symbol that can help to increase the visibility of its flagships.
The symbol reflects the interaction and dynamics between our four flagships in the following way:
The circle represents the whole department.
Four of the coloured sections each represent a flagship, that draws knowledge and competence from the various parts of the department. The coloured section in the middle represents those parts of the department that do not belong to a specific flagship but that can contribute to all flagships or that carry out tasks outside of the flagship areas. The colour choices symbolise air, water, crops and soil.
