Time

Tuesday 4 October 2022,  at 09:00 - 11:30

Since the beginning of 2020, researchers at DTU, the University of Copenhagen, the Danish Technological Institute, and Aarhus University have invested in approximately 80 items of new research equipment for FOODHAY. This means that the bulk of the DKK 103 million in funding allocated by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science and its partner organisations for use on the new FOODHAY research infrastructure by 2023 has now been spent.

But do you know what equipment is available for your own collaborations across FOODHAY’s research institutions? What exactly is FOODHAY? And as an equipment holder, why are you required to frequently submit details about your use of equipment awarded to you? What’s in it for you?

Join a workshop on 4 October from 9 to 11.30 a.m. and find out more about FOODHAY. You will get a status update on FOODHAY and hear about its background and perspectives, while plenty of time has been set aside for you to network and discuss opportunities for collaboration with your colleagues from across FOODHAY’s four research institutions. The latter element will take place in breakout sessions where you will be introduced to the equipment across the four platforms within FOODHAY, hear a couple of brief presentations on equipment, and have the chance to talk to research colleagues.

FOODHAY’s research equipment is physically distributed across Denmark in the four research institutions within the four platforms:

  • Biomarker and screening platform
  • Proteomics and metabolomics platform
  • Food biophysics platform
  • Sensory and consumer platform.

Time and place
The workshop will take place online on 4 October from 9 to 11.30 a.m. and will be held in English.

Registration and statement of interest

You must register for the workshop and state which platforms you are particularly interested in hearing more about.

Sign up on this website

These statements of interest will allow for the presentations and distribution of participants into breakout rooms to be planned to ensure that everyone gets the most out of the workshop.

The organizers from the four research institutions will also ensure that these statements of interest lead to the establishment of direct lines of contact between equipment holders and researchers who are keen to collaborate. A number of the equipment holders will also be asked to present their equipment at the workshop.
