Remember to register your publications in Pure before January 15th

2021 is over and we have started a whole new year. Therefore, you should be aware of deadlines and practical information about registering the university's publications in Pure.

Saturday 15 January 2022 is the deadline for registering publications with the year of publication 2021. It is also the deadline for making your publications available in Open Access.

If you are a researcher or administrative employee who registers in Pure, it is important that you check the following before 15 January 2022:

  • Are all your publications registered in Pure?
  • Is the entry of information for your publications with the year of publication 2021 completed?
  • Have any of your publications changed publishing status since you registered them?
  • Are your publications in the right category ('research', 'dissemination', 'advice' and 'teaching')?
  • Is the indication of "peer review" correct?
  • Is Open Access status correct for relevant publications?

AU’s key figures, BFI figures, and status in the Open Access Indicator are based on validated data in Pure. These figures form the basis for strategic and economic decisions. Therefore, it is necessary that the deadline is met. AU Pure can not guarantee that publications reported after the deadline can be validated and included in the count.

AU key figures

At the beginning of March, AU will receive a statement of AU's research production. The statement contains the number of registered publications with year of publication 2021 and is included as part of the university's annual report.

Send a mail to pure@au.dk if you have any questions

Open Access

At the beginning of March 2022, publications with the year of publication 2020 will be harvested for the Danish Open Access indicator. Therefore, make sure that the Open Access status of your 2020 publications is correct. Also feel free to look at publications from 2021, so you have everything updated. Upload the accepted manuscript to Pure if you have the publisher's permission to publish it in parallel. If you are in doubt about how to deal with Open Access, you can contact your contact person at AU Library. You can read more about Open Access here.

The Bibliometric Research Indicator (BFI)

The BFI-numbers are used to distribute part of the new basic research funds to the universities. Timely reporting of the university's publications is therefore essential. In June 2022, publications with the year of publication 2021 will be harvested. You can read more about BFI at the Ministry of Higher Education and Science's website.
