As a working environment representative, you help protect and improve the working environment - both for the benefit of your closest colleagues and the whole of AU. The working environment representative is part of a local working environment group - and here the manager and the working environment representative are each other's partners. Together, we structure on both emergency firefighting and the more preventive and long-term efforts, which will hopefully help to strengthen well-being and job satisfaction for us. As a working environment representative, you will become a spokesperson for all your colleagues within the working environment group's area, regardless of their professional affiliation.

A good working environment and a committed working environment organization have a high priority at Aarhus University, and interested employees are encouraged to stand as candidates for the local working environment groups.

Important to know:

  • The period to stand for election is 27 November to 7 December 2023.
  • Only employees can stand as a working environment representative.
  • You must have been employed at AU for at least 9 months.
  • The election period is 3 years starting from 1 March 2024.

If you want to know more about the role of working environment representative, you are also very welcome to contact someone from the current working environment group. You can read more about AMO at AU and the election to the working environment organization on the election website.
