Join the Inaugural Lectures on 2 September
On 2 September, AGRO invites all colleagues to a special day celebrating seven newly appointed professors, who will present their inaugural lectures and share insights into their research and future visions.
The lectures will showcase research addressing some of today's most pressing challenges within climate, environment, soil, water, and sustainable food systems. Topics range from greenhouse gas mitigation and wetland restoration to life cycle assessment, soil health, water transport, and sustainable agricultural production.
Meet the professors
- Diego Abalos: New approaches to reducing nitrous oxide emissions from agricultural soils.
- Marie Trydeman Knudsen: Using Life Cycle Assessment to support the green transition of food and agricultural systems.
- Mathieu Lamandé: Soil compaction and its impact on soil functions and health.
- Claire Treat: Carbon and nitrogen cycling across landscapes and ecosystems.
- Bo Vangsø: Water and nutrient transport in soils and agricultural landscapes.
- Shubiao Wu: The role of wetlands in climate mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and water security.
- Iris Vogeler: How experiments and modelling can support the development of sustainable and resilient agricultural systems.
