Learn more about creating an inclusive culture
Now is your chance to gain new insights, hear about real-life cases, and share experiences at the conference "Fostering an Inclusive Culture at Aarhus University – Unlocking the Potentials of Diversity."
The conference takes place on March 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and is open to all employees and leaders at AU.
You will meet anthropologist and CEO Louise Vang Jensen from the company IS IT A BIRD, which has collaborated with academic environments at Danish universities on fostering an inclusive university culture. Additionally, two young researchers from AU will share their experiences.
You can also participate in one of five thematic sessions:
- Internationalization and language
- Everyday micro-discrimination
- Invisible tasks in academic life
- Diversity in research funding applications
- Inclusive meetings
The conference will be opened by Rector Brian Bech Nielsen and Pro-Rector Berit Eika, chairs of AU’s Diversity and Gender Equality Committee.

The conference is part of AU’s efforts to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion among employees and students. Since 2019, AU has held a conference on this topic every two years.
