The annual limit on the Open Access agreements has been reached for 2024

AU Library announces that the limit has been reached for the agreements with Taylor & Francis, Wiley and Springer

Taylor & Francis

To date, 450 of the 500 articles available for our agreement with Taylor & Francis in 2024 have been accepted. Researchers who would like to publish OA and have their articles accepted after the limit is reached and before January 1st  2025 , must therefore finance the OA publication themselves. They can also choose to publish behind a paywall. Both solutions are agreed between the researcher and Taylor & Francis. There is no discount on the Article Processing Charge (APC) and the published articles will not be able to be converted to free OA at a later date.

Wiley

The limit of 1110 articles in the agreement with Wiley has now been reached. Researchers who wish to publish OA receive an APC discount of 15% for the rest of the year. On January 1st, there will again be 1110 articles where researchers will have their APC covered.

Springer

The limit for OA Publishing under the Springer Compact agreement is about to be reached. 700 articles have been approved out of 775, which is the quota for 2024. It is Springer Nature's expectation that the limit will be reached at the end of November. Researchers who would like to publish OA and have their articles accepted between the date when the number is reached and 1 January 2025 must therefore finance the publication themselves. They can also choose to publish behind a paywall. Both solutions are agreed between the researcher and Springer Nature. There is no discount on the Article Processing Charge (APC).
