We are pleased to announce that the microCT scanner at Aarhus University Hospital (AUH), Skejby, in which AGRO has played a significant role, is now ready for use. Mansonia Puliti-Moncada and Michael Koppelgaard have put in considerable effort to get everything up and running. They have undergone training on the system, conducted test scans, and developed protocols specifically for agriculture. Detailed instructions can be found here.

For the next 18 months, AGRO researchers will have exclusive access to the scanner at no cost, thanks to our service agreement with Tescan. However, it should be noted that while access is free, resources need to be allocated for assistance from AGRO technician Michael Koppelgaard, who will be available to provide help and support when the scanner is in use.

It is important to highlight that the scanner is not limited to soil samples alone; it can be used for various types of samples. If you plan to scan different samples such as seeds or similar, please contact Michael or Mansonia in advance.

In addition, AGRO has played a significant role in the acquisition of the microCT scanner,CoreTOM, from Tescan. This collaboration involved the clinical medicine and forensic departments at AUH Skejby. The scanner is installed in the Forensic Department at AUH.

We have implemented a booking system in Outlook to make scheduling as easy as possible. The daily service is managed by the Forensic Department.

Contact Michael Koppelgaard or Mansonia P. Moncada for more information.
