Ideas for shared Aarhus University stand at Naturmødet 2025
We now have the opportunity to host a shared Aarhus University stand at Naturmødet 2025, and we would like to invite your ideas and proposals for activities that showcase the width of our research. Whether you have an exciting demo, want to present your latest findings, or plan a debate on nature, environment, agriculture, biodiversity—or something completely different—we’re open to all creative ideas!
What are we looking for?
- Academic presentations or talks that communicate research to a broad audience (10–15 minutes in length)
- Short debates or discussions with researchers focusing on key nature and environmental topics (30 minutes in length)
- Workshops or interactive activities for both young people and adults
- Other engaging formats that can inspire and involve visitors
- We also need “hosts” for the stand to keep it running smoothly, turn microphones on/off, make coffee, talk to interested people, etc. As a host, you will work in pairs for two-hour shifts.
Why a shared stand?
Our goal is to offer a comprehensive picture of the important research happening across AU’s departments. By joining forces at Naturmødet, we can draw in more visitors and give them a unique look at how our work contributes to solving current challenges in nature, environment, climate, sustainability, and more.
How can you get involved?
If you have an idea for a presentation or activity, or if you’re interested in being a host, please email asn@agro.au.dk no later than February 21, 2025, so we can plan the stand’s content. You don’t need a fully developed idea — just a title and a brief description of the content and format. If you have any questions or specific requests regarding format, space requirements, or anything else, feel free to get in touch.
Background
By pooling our efforts, we have a unique opportunity to showcase the range of our research, present topics that didn’t make it onto the main stages and create an inspiring meeting point for all AU departments participating in Naturmødet. The following departments will be part of the stand: Ecoscience, Biology, Agroecology, Environmental Science, Animal and Veterinary Sciences, and DCE.
