Now you can get statistics help
Before the summer holidays, a statistician was hired here at AGRO
Maarit Mäenpää previously worked as a statistical advisor at the University of Edinburgh, but has a background in research. Here she has studied evolutionary biology through several topics, from parental care in a species of burying beetles to the effects of temperature on sperm of fruit flies.
"Statistics, however, has always been something I have enjoyed learning about and using, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to share this knowledge with you all. In turn, I hope to learn more about agroecology," she says.
One service Maarit Mäenpää will be offering individual consultations, where you can talk about experimental design, choosing the right analysis, or problems in conducting the analysis.
" The framework for booking consultations may change later, but for the time being, I would be happy to hear from you via email. Send me a short description of the question you would like to discuss, and we can find a time to meet," says Maarit Mäenpää.
