Viborg to host a state industrial park at Foulum – next to AU Viborg
Viborg Municipality has been selected to host a new state industrial park at Foulum, directly adjacent to AU Viborg and the Agro Business Park.
The site offers companies in Central and East Jutland access to strong research and business ecosystems, robust electricity infrastructure, and convenient links to the upcoming Mid-Jutland motorway and neighbouring municipalities.
Mayor Ulrik Wilbek (V) notes that the park will accelerate production, jobs, and investment—close to knowledge and talent. The next steps include detailing the site layout for a local plan and establishing a single regulatory contact point for businesses.
The area already brings together AU Viborg, Agro Business Park, and Apple’s data centre (with potential surplus heat), and serves as an energy hub. The industrial park will be a key piece in developing the Foulum cluster into an international hotspot for sustainable agriculture, the bioeconomy, and biosolutions.
