The laboratories in Foulum have now been fully renovated and this was celebrated in style with a reception and open house arrangement on 25 February. Many people found their way past the labs to enjoy a glass of champagne, a chat with colleagues and to participate in a mini-tour of the different laboratory sections.

Jørgen Eriksen, JORNÆR, gave the welcoming address and expressed his gratitude and admiration to the laboratory technicians for their ability to continue their work despite the disruptions and disturbances from the construction work all around them. He also thanked Karin Dyrberg for her coordinating skills, as well as the architects, engineers, the Danish Building and Property Agency and the central administration. There was also a big thanks to Unilab for the grant of 33 million Danish kroner for the refurbishment.

Laboratory Technician Bodil B. Christensen explained some of the laboratory’s many exciting functions.

Laboratory Technician Michael Koppelgard also guided visitors around the laboratories.

Laboratories have a beauty all of their own.
