2016 is nearing its end and I would like to bring attention to deadlines and practical information concerning registration in PURE for 2016.

Deadlines

There are two deadlines in connection with the registration of this year's research output.

  1. 1. February 2016. All publications with publication year 2016 must be registered in PURE.
  2. 1. March 2016. All publications with publication year 2016 must be validated. This is mainly handled by AU Library. For AU Library to comply with this deadline, it is important that the first deadline is observed.

These deadlines are set to meet:

  • The annual reporting of research output to the AU key figures at the beginning of March 2017. Publications registered after deadline will not be included in the AU key figures.
  • The annual harvest for the Bibliometric Research Indicator (BFI) on the 15th of June 2017. The AU Library cannot guarantee that the publications registered after the deadline will be included in the BFI for 2016. Publications registered after June 15 will not be included in the BFI for 2016.

Data Quality

In addition to observing the February 1 deadline, it is the responsibility of the department/center that the following is correct:

  • Publication Type: Categorization of the department's/centre’s publications as 'research', 'communication', 'commissioned' or 'education' in PURE.
  • Peer review: Specifying the peer review of the department's/centre’s publications in PURE

AU Library will follow up on these two points and will send lists for the department’s/centre’s approval before March 1.

For researchers / submitters

If you register publications in PURE you should pay particular attention to the following:

  • Have all your publications been registered?
Make a list from your PURE profile or ask your PURE secretary.
  • Are the publication status of your publications in PURE up-to-date?
  • Is publication category and peer review registered correctly?
Generally, you should pay particular attention to publication type ('research', 'communication', 'comissioned' and 'education') and 'peer review' and make sure these attributes are registered correctly for your publications.
