PURE – help with registrations
Going forward, it will be much easier for everyone in AGRO when entering publications into PURE.
Today, employees in AGRO are responsible for all registrations in PURE, if they are first authors, and we will continue to be so. A majority of these registrations are performed by the section secretaries, but this will change.
In May, we had a meeting with AU Library, Aarhus, where Tine L. Iversen and Rasmus T. Nielsen offered their expert assistance in regards to importing and validating all relevant, international publications via a bibliographic database (Scopus or Web of Science). The actual import includes journal publications and other peer-reviewed publications, and AU Library’s facilitation will be of great help to AGRO as this means that very few publications need to be typed into PURE manually. In the future, we will minimize fault registrations and with AU Library as our importer and validator, we should automatically retrieve most of the international and peer-reviewed articles into PURE. AU Library will also perform a quality control procedure just to make sure that all articles have been imported.
After our meeting with AU Library, we all agreed to say, “yes, please”, we would highly appreciate your assistance. So at the end of May, AU Library started importing from Scopus and it works as it is supposed to. Subsequently, AU Library has informed us that even “keywords” are imported which is important.
Additional keywords can only be added by writing an email to the PURE support: pure@au.dk
However, AGRO still needs to type in articles, which are not retrieved via Scopus, meaning Danish articles, reports, conference abstracts, popular articles, etc.
If you need assistance regarding PURE, you continue to contact your section secretary who will be able to assist and potentially contact our PURE support team in Aarhus in case of moot points.
