QuickTime is a no-go
The recommendation is that you remove QuickTime from your computer for safety reasons.
Some years ago QuickTime media player was a frequently used program. The product is now no longer supported and there are at least two critical vulnerabilities in the program. This means that a hacker can abuse the program to introduce a virus to the system. Our antivirus administrator recommends therefore that you remove QuickTime from your computer as soon as possible.
Removing QuickTime does not affect iTunes.
