How to start using OneDrive
All employees have to have their data moved from their U drive (the personal drive) to OneDrive.
The transfer to OneDrive is part of the launch of AU’s Microsoft 365 collaboration platform. When your files from the U drive have been moved to OneDrive, you will be able to access them without using a VPN and from all devices with internet access. Please note that this does not include the O drive (shared drive).
When?
On 28-02-2023, AU IT will move your files from the U drive to OneDrive.
What is required of you?
Before 28-02-2023, please log on to OneDrive so that AU IT can complete the move. Guidance and more about what you have to do before and after the move.
Note
You will only have read access to the U drive when the file-migration process starts. Once the files have been moved to OneDrive, you will no longer be able to access them on the U drive.
If you need to edit a file on the U drive during the move, you can save the file on OneDrive and work on it there. The move can take one to seven days, depending on the number and size of the files.
What happens next?
You will receive an email reminder one day prior to the start of the migration of your files to OneDrive.
