The contract with the Ministry of Environment and Food will be harmonised
From 2017 the DCA and DCE contracts with the Ministry of Environment and Food will be adjusted, among other things in order to create more transparency between the two national centres.
The contracts which the Ministry of Environment and Food has with DCA and DCE will be harmonised. Director Niels Halberg, DCA, told this on the second day of the SeniorVIP meeting held at Flakkebjerg on 2-3 November 2016.
As can be seen from Niels Halberg’s presentation, which can be found on the O drive at the address O:\ST_AGRO\Faelles\SeniorVIP 2016 præsentationer, the harmonisation involves several new aspects in connection with our contract with the Ministry of Environment and Food.
Slide No. 2 outlines that the harmonisation between DCA and DCE among other things will mean that a total amount of money will be sent to AU to be divided between DCA and DCE, that the contract is intended to lead to increased transparency across the two national centres and that there will be an international review of our task-solving.
Slide No. 3 shows that there will be five areas of which DCA will be concerned with three, the major one being “crop production”.
The research-based public sector consultancy consists of four elements, including counselling, urgent consultancy activities, supervision and monitoring as well as research and competence building. The ministry decides the content of the first three categories, whereas we can decide on the latter.
The 13 thematic areas which we have worked with till now are being revised at present. The results of the discussions will probably be announced before Christmas.
