The planning of the new education and training programs is in full swing - contribute to the workshop on 18-19 April

Work is in full swing on the development of the three new study programs at AU Viborg, where students will experience being part of the solution in the green transition. We have the opportunity - and a need - to create a unique study environment with proximity to researchers, experimental facilities and future employers. The work is carried out in three tracks, an education track, a building track and a communication and recruitment track.

For the development of plant and food science, a working group has been set up across AGRO (Foulum and Flakkebjerg), QGG and FOOD. The working group behind the education in plant and food science invites current and potential teachers to a workshop on April 18-19 at Fuglsøcenteret in Mols Bjerge. At the workshop, we will work on the development of our new program with a focus on teaching methods, core academic elements of the program as well as the structure and formulation of the individual courses and semesters. If you are interested in contributing to the workshop, please contact Bo Vangsø Iversen or Anne Sofie Nielsen.

The building track works with the planning and placement of classrooms, teaching laboratories and study environment. The renovation will take place in stages over the next year, and is divided into three subgroups: dry facilities, wet facilities and student-initiated activities. The refurbishment is being led by Nat-Tech Building Services in collaboration with representatives from AGRO and ANIVET. In addition, the staff association, the sustainability committee and LAMU representatives are included in the work.

A recruitment and communication task force has been set up to recruit future students. The task force consists of Aarhus University's communication staff, who are responsible for the general recruitment of students and communication to the target group. Representatives from animal science and plant and food science also participate. Work is also underway to create a common narrative for AU Viborg as a whole, so that we can spread awareness of the three new degree programs. The plan is to launch a campaign after the summer vacation, which will also include a visit from Studievalg Danmark. Studievalg Danmark is responsible for student guidance at upper secondary schools.
