There is money in creating growth
If your research, in collaboration with a business, can form the basis for growth and jobs in Denmark, then you can apply for research and development funds from Innovation Fund Denmark.
Do you need an economic boost to progress further with your research? Innovation Fund Denmark offers a series of funding opportunities if the project has a clear aim towards something that can create growth or jobs in Denmark. The key is collaboration between research and a private company. Innovation Fund Denmark invests in entrepreneurs, researchers and businesses with knowledge and ideas that can create growth and jobs in Denmark.
- We do not give grants; we make investments and the project must have the potential to achieve results in the form of new knowledge, jobs or growth, said Scientific Officer Thomas Mathiasen from Innovation Fund Denmark in the talk he gave at the junior VIP meeting in Flakkebjerg 29 September 2015.
To get funding the project must have a combination of the right idea and the right person. Innovation Fund Denmark does not fund basic research but does provide funding in the area that spans from applied research to commercialisation and implementation.
There are three categories in which you can apply:
Talent: For Industrial Postdoc or Industrial PhD
InnoBooster: For small businesses and start-ups. Up to DKK five mill. can be granted.
Large-scale projects: Here there would typically be several collaborators and project duration would be up to three years. Up to DKK 50 mill. can be granted.
