Work from home efficiently
How to best structure your work from home so that it becomes more efficient.
Homework plan
It is with homework, as it is with so much else. Planning is crucial. It's the most important tool you have when it comes to streamlining your work from home. It might be a good idea to write down what you want to do at home that day. When planning, you should also set a time frame for when to do the various activities - and remember to include lunch and small breaks during work.
Workplace set up
If possible arrange a physical workplace at home. Instead of doing homework on the couch or in the armchair, you should sit at a table with room to rest your elbows and good lighting. If possible, get your PC, monitor and keyboard from Foulum.
Don't forget your colleagues
Don't forget about social life in the office. It means a lot to your - and probably your colleagues' - job satisfaction to keep your relationships straight.
It might be a good idea to schedule 15 minutes of SKYPE coffee breaks with 4-5 colleagues 2-3 times a week.
Go for a walk
Whether you work at home or in an office, we all need to get our eyes off work and do something else. It is very important, because it is during the breaks that we recharge and find the concentration. In the office, you pause with colleagues, but when you work from home, you have to be good at pulling yourself off the screen and getting a break.
