Ansøgning om midler til udstyr fra Simens Foundation

The Siemens Foundation invites proposals that will be granted in 2024. Proposals must be sent to tine Wendelboe Bjorholm by 16 November 2023.

The Foundation prefers the following types of proposals:

  • Bachelor and Master thesis projects, where donations of approximately DKK 30.000 can improve the level of the projects by providing special equipment or expenses for specific / special measurements.
  • Proposals from departments for specific equipment that can benefit several projects at the same time (excludes standard equipment that the department is expected to already have).
  • Support for travelling that is necessary for the projects. Regular study trips, internships etc. will, in principle, not be supported.
  • Activities that contribute to raising awareness about technology in general and/or targeting children and young people.

Proposals should include (there is no templates):

  • The attached covering letter (Excel file) must be completed for each proposal.
  • A short project description (there is no template, but it should be app. 1 page), including the student’s name and which specific outcome the proposed funding will have on the completed project.
  • A budget/specification of the applied amount
  • Optionally a letter of recommendation from the supervisor

Proposals must be sent to tine Wendelboe Bjorholm (bjorholm@au.dk) by 16 November 2023.

After this date, the proposals will be evaluated by the Dean’s offices and approximately 8 proposals will be selected for submission to the Siemens Foundation.

The Foundation’s board will meet in February 2024 to evaluate the proposals and decide which are to be funded.
