Plantekongres offers new perspectives on the green transition
Plantekongres is the main annual meeting point for Danish crop producers, advisors, researchers, and industry partners. For the past few years, Ingeborg Frøsig Pedersen has joined to stay updated on the latest knowledge within the green transition in agriculture.
On 7–8 January, the brightest minds in plant production gather in Herning. Two days filled with expert in-sights, sharp perspectives, and valuable networking.
The important and inevitable conversation about the green transition among the many stakeholders is one of the key reasons why tenure track assistant professor Ingeborg Frøsig Pedersen from the Department of Agroecology has joined the Plantekongres in the past few years.
She points to the diverse background of presenters and the audience representing farmers, advisors, researchers, companies, and many more.
“I get updated on the latest knowledge within the green transition in agriculture – gaining new perspectives from outside the research community. There are always many good questions from the audience, and these dialogues are important for all of us,” Ingeborg Frøsig Pedersen says.
”I always leave feeling uplifted”
Plantekongres is the main annual meeting point for Danish crop producers, advisors, researchers, and industry partners. For two days, MCH Herning Congress Center is filled with presentations, debates, and networking – all designed to give practical tools, fresh perspectives, and stronger decisions for the future of crop production.
Networking is another of the main reasons why Ingeborg Frøsig Pedersen has enjoyed participating.
“It’s a unique opportunity to see how different actors work within the green transition. And it’s also nice to meet former fellow students. I always leave feeling uplifted” she says.
Plantekongres 2026 introduces a new English-language track, making the congress especially relevant for international colleagues, and as an extra feature all sessions will be live translated into English with the AI-based translation platform Wordly.
