Visting scientist from USA wll give a talk
Organic farming is on the agenda when the visiting American Lead Soil Scientist Dr. Michel Cavigelli from the USDA's Agricultural Research Service will give a talk in Foulum.
Would you like to hear more about what is happening in American research in organic farming? Well, you have the chance to do so when Lead Soil Scientist Dr. Michel Cavigelli fromn the USDA's Agriculltural Research Service will give a talk in meeting room 2 in Foulum on May 9, 2017 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The talk will be held as a lunch seminar and is divided into two parts with the following titles:
- Organic research over the last 20 years in Maryland, USA (long-term studies)
- Managing organic sources of nutrients (cover crops and poultry litter) – results from four projects investigating nutrient sources, rate, application and timing.
Dr. Michel Cavigelli is on a visit to Denmark ic connection with a board meeting in ICROFS. On the morning of May 9 he will visit AGRO, where he will meet with Erik Steen Kristensen, Jørgen Eriksen, Elly Møller Hansen, Søren O. Petersen, Jim Rasmussen, John Hermansen and Marie Trydeman Knudsen. During the afternoon Dr. Cavigelli will work with Jørgen Eriksen, Niels Halberg and Lise Andreasen about ideas for Danish-American collaboration on organic plant production.
