Happy Easter – and a brief update on management in May and November 2025
In May and November, I will be on sabbatical, and during these periods, Jørgen Eriksen will serve as Acting Head of Department. Jørgen will carry out the role in close collaboration with our Head of Secretariat, Ida Thoft Jensen, Deputy Head of Department Henrik Brinch-Pedersen, and the rest of the management team. This means that during these months, you should direct any questions and matters you would normally bring to me to Jørgen Eriksen instead.
Spring is upon us, and the Easter holidays are approaching. I hope you all get the chance to take some time off and enjoy the season before we dive into the many tasks awaiting us in the coming months. Personally, I will be spending Easter with my family at my summer house in Løkken.
As mentioned in our department meetings, I will be on sabbatical in May and November. During these periods, Jørgen Eriksen will act as Head of Department, working closely with Ida Thoft Jensen, Henrik Brinch-Pedersen, and others to handle the responsibilities I usually oversee. This means that any questions or matters you would typically bring to me should instead be directed to Jørgen Eriksen. It would be very helpful if you could send your emails to head@agro.au.dk, so we can ensure that your inquiries are always handled appropriately.
Our workplace assessment shows that we have a strong management team at the department, and I am confident that we will maintain stable and effective operations during this period. Many important projects are underway, and continuity is essential. I look forward to returning in June to continue our work on strengthening research and collaboration across the department, faculty, and university.
But first, I wish you all a well-deserved Easter break—I hope you enjoy it. You have earned it.
Best regards,
Jørgen E. Olesen
