Information on new staff websites at AU

In week 44, all staff will get new personal websites. The new websites are more user-friendly and offer more opportunities for staff to adapt and edit content

Most of the content on your current PURE profile will be automatically displayed in the new design. However, you will need to make some manual adjustments to your new page.

New mandatory text fields

The new personal websites have a new feature: text fields where you must write a short text describing your activities under one or more of following headings, depending on the nature of your work at AU:

  • Research
  • Teaching
  • Consultancy
  • Collaboration
  • Job responsibilities
  • Profile

A special editor that makes it easy to fill out the fields has been developed.

You can also add up to five keywords that describe your profile, upload a CV and add links to multiple external websites where you present yourself and your work.

The new staff websites will not replace other administrative systems

It’s important to note that PURE will still be used for registering publications, activities and so on. And it will still be necessary to register and edit personal data in the employee master data registration system. This is because the new staff websites simply display the information in PURE and AU’s other administrative systems in a new way.

What happens next

You will receive emails that explain how the new personal websites work and how to use them. You will also be able to get help from local IT and other support staff.

About the development of the new websites

The new website design was developed by a broadly representative working group with input from both academic and administrative/technical staff. It was approved by the senior management team. The senior management team also approved the inclusion of the mandatory text field. AU IT coordinated the project.
