When you buy IT equipment
From now on you must order IT equipment yourself via the IT webshop.
ST IT is harmonising the process concerning purchases of IT equipment such as computers, tablets, telephones and software. This means that in the future orders will not be handled by the local IT supporters but by the employee via the IT webshop. The system will be effective from March 15, 2017.
You and your immediate leader or project manager must agree about the order and the project number. You must state the project number when placing the order. With regard to external projects, please note if the external funder covers the costs of IT equipment. This is not always the case with all funders. If you are in doubt, please contact your project finance administrator.
Only employees whose salary is paid by AGRO are allowed to place orders.
Please start your order by choosing ”Raadgivning onskes i forbindelse med indkobet” because the department management does not wish to purchase equipment that has too high or too low a capacity in relation to your needs. The department management has previously decided that a Mac computer can only be ordered if there is a need for special software that can only run on a Mac. When purchasing Mac you must be aware that assistance from local IT supporters within this area will be limited.
With regard to smartphones please do not order models that cost more than DKK 3,000. Tablets can only be ordered by employees that have many outreach activities or special needs with a documented relation to their work.
It is always up to the management to decide which employees have a job situation and function that requires that the university places multimedia at their disposal. The management must thus make concrete assessments on a case-by-case basis. Read more about rights and taxation here.
When you place an order via the webshop, the department management will receive an email. It can always stop the purchase of IT equipment if the order is considered unnecessary or if there is suspicion of abuse.
