Onboarding in AGRO

After New Year a new concept of welcoming new employees will be introduced n AGRO.

 

On 1 January 2017 we will introduce the concept of onboarding in AGRO. The main purpose of introducing onboarding is to ensure that all employees will get a good, professional and uniform reception in AGRO.  

Experience shows that a good reception on the first day in combination with its being followed up thereafter will increase the chance of the new colleague settling in and feeling like an integrated part of the section and the department – that he or she belongs. 

In connection with the introduction of this new concept, four key roles have been defined among current employees: buddy, supervisor, secretary and section manager. One of the new things in this concept is that a buddy will be assigned to each new employee; the new employees will be informed of the name of the buddy before they begin in AGRO. 

An introductory programme will also be prepared for the new employee in order to have plans made for the first period of time. The secretary and the future supervisor or project manager will organise this preparation.

In order to visualise which areas of responsibility are included in each role we have prepared an onboarding checklist, which is available on the intranet. We will also send an email to all employees before the Christmas vacation 2016.
