Welcome to the CGB in AGRO and introduction to administrative guidelines

We have had a good start in 2020, where we have become part of the new Faculty of Technical Sciences, we have been assigned a new dean, and in AGRO we have welcomed 14 new colleagues in Flakkebjerg.

New colleagues provide a natural opportunity for guidelines and processes to be reviewed. In AGRO, the guidelines are all to be found on our intranet. You will find 12 buttons on the intranet frontpage, each gives access to descriptions of the individual areas:

The guidelines are constantly under review, and we are currently working on an elaboration on file keeping, as Jørgen wrote in an email at the beginning of the new year. Click here to read more about file keeping. In addition, introductory meetings will be held for employees who were not part of SeniorVIP in November.

Another of the topical issues is the end of the current holiday year and the transition to the new holiday law. Right now, is the end of the current holiday year, where all employees must report how they will spend the residual holiday they have. As so far, notifications are sent out, they must be returned to the secretaries. It is important for the institute to ensure that everyone gets their holidays organized. First and foremost because everyone needs breaks where they can relax and spend their time on something that gives them energy.

From 1 September, 2020, everyone is transitioning to a concurrent holiday, earning 2.08 days of vacation every month. The transition to the new holiday law means that we need to revise our processes and guidelines for the settlement and follow-up of holiday leave. We are just getting started with the preparations so information and guidelines are ready for September.

The guidelines also always need someone to look critically at them from the outside. Therefore, you are always welcome to send me an email if there is anything you do not understand or believe can be done better? Then, together with the department management and the secretariat, I will see if it can be done more smoothly. That is, changes may not be made, but the process/rule will be looked at.

AU's general guidelines can be found on the “Employee Service at AU” page, where you can also find links to tools and guides.
